Detecon Al Saudia (Detasad) has finalized the first phase for the first real implementation of an interconnected geo-redundant satellite HUB in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Report from ameinfo.com). The brand new fully equipped idirect 15100 VSAT HUB has been successfully implemented in Riyadh. In a second phase Detecon Al Saudia will setup the second 15000 series HUB for the geo-redundancy and is going to start migration and fail-over testing in may and June 2011. Availability of the geo-redundant satellite services is targeted at the end of the 3rd quarter 2011.
With the new iDirect HUB platform Detecon Al Saudia is able to provide the highly efficient new iDirect Evolution Series DVB-S2 based satellite connectivity.
