Detecon Al Saudia (Detasad) is proud to announce the first real implementation of an interconnected satellite HUB geo-redundancy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The new VSAT HUB technology is based on the brand new idirect 15100 series HUB and will consist of the primary HUB based in Detecon Al Saudia’s Tier III+ datacenter infrastructure in Riyadh and the second HUB in Detecon Al Saudia’s upcoming datacenter setup in Jeddah (north-east region). Hardware has been delivered at the beginning of March 2011 and implementation and testing will start from April 2011. General availability of the geo-redundant satellite services will be launched at the end of the 3rd quarter 2011.
